I can say with confidence though that I'm not using satin, except to line the inside of the cape, and no velvet. Lace or embroidery might be a good option actually, depending on the material of the vest. It's where your interests connect you with your people.

In Dracula's Curse, he doesn't use a sword; however, he apparently does bury this sword (and a few other heirlooms) alongside of himself before submerging into a deep slumber at the end of this game. And yes, it's pretty easy to tell from the shot that the outside buckle part was meant to match the coat lining. Uhm well 2 ways technically... the first is a glitch you can basically unequip your armor at the beggining and get hit by the worg near the door where death steals your equipment and you should go flying into the next room skipping death, you keep your equipment but if u go back you will probably glitch up the game. This is probably what messed me up >.>; I tried to go for *slight* realism (dropped that notion half way through, but the damage was done). But I don't. Buttons? I've been putting it off and putting it off, and I'm finally going to suck it up and make the costume for Alucard from Symphony of the Night. I was concerned it might be a little obvious with rows of lace but yours looks really good! I think the lining of the coat and the design around the buckles are close, but the details vary between pics that it's hard to say if they're identical or not.
